Eliza Is Sitting Up, My Birthday & Our Christmas Pictures

Hello Again Everyone! Is everyone ready for the holidays? I'M NOT! I'm not even done Christmas shopping! Christmas Eve is going to be a busy day for me. This week has been full of just getting ready for Christmas and a couple of birthdays, including mine. On Tuesday we went up to Mollie & Carlos' for Carlos' 30th birthday. It was so fun! We had pizza and Baskin Robbins ice cream cake. YUMMY! Eliza played on the ground and practiced rolling over after she woke up from her evening nap.

Eliza has started sitting up all by herself. She started this a couple of weeks after we got the exersaucer out for her to play with. She's a very curious baby! She likes to sit up and watch what is going on around her. She has really started paying attention to music. When there is a song playing, no matter where she is or where the music is coming from she stops and looks for it. She loves being in church when there is music. Hopefully she'll want to play the piano or something when she gets older. It also gives me hope that she might have some sort of rhythm (which I lack in a BIG way!).

My birthday was yesterday. I'M 25!! I don't know why, but I feel so old! I know, I know! I'm only 25, right? But some people have a hard time with 20, 30, 40. I hated turning 25! We had a fun little party last night. It was the BYU Bowl game, so starting at 6:30pm I was no longer important. Real nice, huh? Just kidding! It was a lot of fun. I got the new Celine Dion CD, the Enchanted soundtrack, the new Carrie Underwood CD and some clothes. It was nice! My mom made my favorite chocolate pie and my normal birthday dinner Enchilada Casserole. It was yummy! (Notice how I mentioned dessert first?)

Eliza and I also took our Christmas pictures this week. Obviously I haven't gotten my Christmas cards out yet! I think I will send out New Years cards instead. Is that creative? Eliza just looked so cute in her dress from Mollie's wedding that I had to have her wear it for her Christmas dress.

OK! One more little section...Mollie finally got her professional pictures back from her wedding. I love them! Her boss Lyndsey did such a great job. Mollie works for Lyndsey Jane Photography. If anyone is looking for a wedding photographer, they would be a GREAT choice!

We hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Years. My New Years Resolution is to start going to the gym and to be more organized!! Those have been my resolutions for the last few years too, obviously I still need some work in those areas.

LOVE TO ALL!

Christmas Is Coming...

Hello to family and friends! Hope all is well with you. We are just preparing for Christmas and the new year. I love this time of year! Its the best! Christmas shopping (not my favorite, but its been fun this year), watching movies, wrapping presents, making goodies. Its so much fun! Eliza and her cousin Jude went and saw Santa again, I guess we can't get enough of that guy. She seems to not be bothered by him though. She likes touching his beard, its really cute! I'm hoping to send out a little Christmas card this year, but I will have to see how things go. Its been a tad bit on the crazy side this past few months.

Eliza is enjoying her bottle quite a bit more these last few days. That pleases me a lot because I have to go back to school starting the beginning of January so it makes me worry less about her mood. She's developing quite the little personality. The only bad thing about that, is that she doesn't like to sleep very well. Any suggestions from the great moms out there? But other than that, she is adorable. She laughs and smiles at certain things I can tell she has grown to like. We went and saw a movie the other night and, all things considered, she was great! She loves my computer. She doesn't like to keep her hands off of the key board or the screen when I am using it. She seems to be in awe of it. It will be fun to watch her open her presents on Christmas.

Other than that, there hasn't been much going on this past week and a half or so. Just getting ready and excited for Christmas. I'm sure there will be more to tell next time. Again, we hope all is well with everyone! Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS! Here are some more pictures of Little Eliza:

OH! Just in case I do sit down and do Christmas cards, I would LOVE to send you all one. I'm sure I do not have you addresses though, so maybe you could send them to me? laura.capua@gmail.com

Let It Snow!

Hello to you all! Its been an eventful week or so. The weather has been typical of a Utah Fall/Winter. However, I've never seen so much snow in my life! Its very pretty, but it is really a beast to drive in. Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday (12/8/07)...

My Aunt Joan from Florida had been here for about a week and a half for Mollie's wedding. We had a great time with her! One Saturday we went to Gardner's Village in West Jordan. For those of you who don't know anything about Gardner's Village, it is a historic mill with little old houses that have been turned into classy little shops. I love to go up there and just walk around and roam in and out of the shops. While we were there, there were some ducks who must of been really cold. Their pond was frozen over. I knelt down so Eliza could see them and they went crazy. It was like they were so excited to have someone pay attnetion to them. And Eliza loved was fascinated by them. It was really cute to watch.

On Friday night we took Eliza to see Santa for the first time. I've been so excited for Christmas so that I can have a picture with Eliza and Santa Claus. He was such a nice Santa too! She wasn't afraid of him at all. She would just study his face and play with his beard. It was so cute! I'm so relieved that she likes Santa. Here are some pictures...

My parents had an exersaucer that they had used for my sister's kids. My dad went and got it from storage and cleaned it up. The minute we put her in there she was so excited! She loves playing with the toys and smiling. She has also really discovered her feet. Whenever I lay her down to change her diaper or something, she immediatly grabs her feet. Its so sweet!

Anyways...that's about all that is going on here. Just getting ready for Christmas and all the birthdays that are coming up. Hope all is well with everyone else!
