Little Pool...Big Kids (4th of July)

Our 4th of July wasn’t too eventful. The kids were still here and so we were playing with them and getting packed up to head to California to help Mollie and Carlos move. We had a pretty fun day. After doing some packing we went to Carl’s Jr. for some lunch. It had a play place so the kids enjoyed some quality time sliding down slides and crawling through plastic tunnels. Germs, germs and more germs! YUCK! Thankfully Eliza is still too little to enjoy the disgusting-ness that is Carl’s Jr.’s play place. I’m not sure what I will do when she can go in those. I guess I will just have to get over it. Anyways, after we ate we were planning on going home, grabbing our swim suits and going up to Mollie and Carlos’ apartment to swim and finish up the last minute packing. We decided against that though because we all had way to much packing to do for ourselves to get ready to go to California the next day. So, we brought out the baby pool and the kids swam their little lives away. Eliza loves the water. She always has, so it was fun to watch her splish and splash. That was our 4th of July! Oh yeah! And we ate Little Caesar’s $5 pizzas. Sounds fun, right? I had a good time. Sometimes the pressure of holidays is too much, so I tend to enjoy relaxing and spending quality time with my family.
